My letter to Condor Airline - Overcharge and Complaint 

Despite calling Condor and emailing them with my claim, I received no response!

Dear Condor Customer Service,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with an issue we encountered regarding our baggage booking for our recent trip from Edmonton (YEG) to Frankfurt and back.


On August 22, 2024, I contacted your Customer Service team to cancel my hand luggage and to book one 23kg suitcase for our journey from Edmonton to Frankfurt. I also explicitly requested that the same suitcase be booked for our return trip from Frankfurt to Edmonton. Your representative confirmed that both legs of the journey had been updated accordingly with the appropriate luggage booking.


However, when we arrived at Frankfurt airport for our return flight, the Condor agent at the desk informed us that we needed to pay an additional €150 for the 23kg suitcase. This was shocking and confusing, as we had already paid for the suitcase during our August 22nd call with Customer Service. The agent had no record of the payment we had already made.


As a result, we paid over CAD $713, a significant amount that we had not budgeted for. As retirees, this unexpected expense has caused us financial distress. This was not an error on our part, as we clearly communicated with your Customer Service team that we only needed one suitcase for each leg of our trip.


We respectfully request that you review this matter and issue a refund for the €150 we were incorrectly charged. We have been loyal customers of Condor and hope this situation can be resolved quickly and fairly.


Please find attached any relevant documents, including receipts and booking references, to support our claim.


We look forward to your prompt response and resolution.
